This informative On Demand training is designed to be a comprehensive overview of selective mutism, including diagnostic criteria and presentation. The goal of this training is to provide clinicians with an introduction to assessment and diagnosis of selective mutism, exploration of symptoms, implications and interventions. Appropriate for clinicians of all levels - no experience with SM required. Training objectives: 1. Participants will understand diagnostic criteria and symptoms of selective mutism 2. Participants will learn implications and parental contributors/role 3. Participants will learn assessment and intervention for SM Bio of presenter: Riley Lowe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and clinical supervisor at AMK Counseling in Chicago, IL. Her clinical experience and interests include working with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, OCD, executive functioning concerns, trauma, self-esteem and life transitions. Riley has specialized training in Exposure and Response prevention, Selective mutism and Trauma Focused-CBT. In addition, Riley provides clinical supervision at AMK.
