About

This on-demand training is designed to provide clinicians with practical, evidence-based interventions for the early stages of therapy, an essential phase in building a successful therapeutic relationship. The course offers a range of strategies to help clinicians establish strong rapport with clients, effectively set goals, and lay the groundwork for meaningful progress. Participants will explore specific techniques that facilitate symptom reduction and build trust, empowering clients to feel heard and supported as they begin their therapeutic journey. The training will also address common challenges faced in the early stages of therapy, such as establishing a safe space for clients, managing initial resistance, and ensuring that therapy is client-centered. By the end of the course, clinicians will be equipped with practical skills to foster a collaborative, goal-oriented relationship from the outset; increasing your retention and enhancing the likelihood of sustained success in treatment. Objectives: 1) To understand the importance of quality interventions early on. 2) How interventions impact the therapeutic relationship. 3) Walk away with new, practical interventions to put into practice.
