Racheal Anderson, MA, LPC, BCBA

When working with individuals and families, one of my primary goals is to foster an
environment of compassion and understanding; ideally creating a safe space for clients when developing a therapeutic relationship. I do so by providing unconditional acceptance as clients share their story with me. I strive to provide each client with individualized treatment to best support their needs while considering the intersectionality of their individual identity. Within sessions, I work to create a collaborative environment from a strength-based approach to help
identify goals rooted in client’s values and continue to develop areas of focus as they make progress throughout our sessions.

Throughout my career working with children and families, my areas of experience include anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, grief and loss, self-esteem, and life transitions. I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient child psychiatric unit, community mental health, and private practice settings providing a combination of individual, group, and family therapy. In addition to my LPC license, I am also a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) with experience providing parent coaching and training individualized to the needs of each family. I aim to create achievable and meaningful goals with clients to support their success not only
within therapy sessions, but also within client’s day to day experiences.

In my practice, I use an integrative approach with the following clinical modalities:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Play Therapy
  • Strength-Based Therapy
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Person Centered Therapy
  • Trauma Informed Therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing
