Do you find yourself feeling stuck or struggling to help clients make lasting, meaningful changes? Are client resistance or lack of progress affecting your confidence in the therapeutic process? This training is designed to help you break through those challenges! We’ll begin by exploring how to identify and address client resistance, then dive into effective strategies from Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strengths-Based approaches. By applying these evidence-based techniques, you’ll be better equipped to empower clients and guide them through the change process, boosting both their progress and your confidence as a clinician. Objectives: 1. Identify the signs of resistance in clients 2. Understand and reframe the purpose of resistance in the therapeutic space 3. Build awareness to our own views and challenges with resistance 4. Learn principles and strategies to confront resistance and empower client engagement in the therapeutic process Bio of presenter: Frannie Siegel consistently demonstrated professionalism across various workplace environments, maintaining a strong ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute as a dedicated team player. I am detail-oriented, accurate, and flexible in my work, ensuring quality and adaptability in every situation. With an empathetic personality and a continuous desire to learn, I approach each client with a person-centered mindset. My therapeutic practice incorporates techniques from ACT, CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing to support meaningful outcomes. I am also an LCSW certified by the ASWB as of August 2020.
