Cary Sabados, MSW, LSW
Therapist
I believe that our personal strengths, knowledge, and capabilities are the starting point for tackling our most pressing challenges. As a therapist, my first task will be to better understand you: your unique story and the goals and aspirations you have for our time together. Whether the difficulties you are facing are recent and overwhelming or something you have been carrying for a while, we will collaborate to ensure that the approach taken aligns with your needs and that we move at a pace that feels right for you.
In my role as a therapist – and in my previous roles as an educator and coach – I have valued the relationships I was able to form with young people and adults and the opportunity to partner on problems from across the lifespan. These have included navigating school and family life, transitioning to adulthood, adapting to parenthood, and managing the grief that comes with loss. Each of these partnerships was built on a foundation of shared trust, empathy, and candor, and I will work to bring the same to our time together, while also ensuring that there is room for humor, curiosity, and moments of joy along the way.
Approaches I may draw from in our work:
• Family Systems Therapy
• Narrative Therapy
• Play Therapy
• Solution-Focused Therapy
• Strength-Based Therapy
