Madison Sokolik, MA, LPC
Therapist
Hi, I'm Madison! I'm so glad you're here.
Whether you're looking for support for yourself or your child, finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered to grow. Therapy with me is warm, genuine, evidence-based, and growth-oriented. I'll meet you where you are, but I won't let you stay stuck.
I believe therapy should be both meaningful and practical. Some days that means learning concrete skills to manage overwhelming emotions. Other days it means slowing down, making sense of patterns, celebrating wins, or simply having a space where you don't have to pretend everything is okay. Wherever you are in your journey, we'll work together to create goals that feel meaningful, attainable, and authentic.
While I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults, I have a particular passion for supporting those navigating anxiety, perfectionism, OCD, relationship challenges, and life's transitions. When working with children, I view parents and caregivers as valuable partners, collaborating to better understand your child's emotional world while providing practical tools that support growth beyond the therapy room.
I earned my Master's degree in Counseling from Northwestern University, where I received advanced training in evidence-based, developmentally informed, and culturally responsive care. Because no two clients are alike, I take an integrative approach, tailoring therapy to each person's unique strengths, goals, and experiences.
Therapeutic modalities I often draw from include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
Play Therapy
Family Systems Therapy
Strengths-Based Therapy
By combining evidence-based treatment with warmth, curiosity, humor, and cultural humility, I strive to create a space where children, teens, adults, and families feel understood, challenged, and supported as they build resilience, deepen self-understanding, and create lasting change.
I look forward to working with you!
