Mayra Sotomayor
MA, LCPC
Therapist
As a therapist, I bring both my clinical training and cultural identity into the therapeutic space. I understand the unique strengths and challenges that come with navigating multiple cultures, whether you're first-generation, part of an immigrant family, or simply carrying deep values that shape your life. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and safe to show up as your full self without judgment.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I also support clients exploring identity, healing from generational wounds, and working through the pressures of being “the strong one” in their families or communities. Whether you’re carrying the weight of expectation, past trauma, or just trying to reconnect with yourself, we’ll work together to find clarity, healing, and strength.
My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and rooted in self-compassion. I integrate mind, body, and spirit in the healing process, drawing on evidence-based practices while also honoring cultural wisdom and personal narratives. Therapy with me is collaborative and empowering. I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and strive to make therapy accessible to all.
