It’s so great that you’re reaching out to find a therapist! Whether you’re looking for atherapist for yourself or for your child, I have the experience and training to help out.
My work with adults often includes exploring coping skills for anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and life transitions. My best and first tool is listening: I’m going to listen to you with my ears and my head and my heart, so that I can become your fellow traveler. As a feminist, I take pride in offering support to anyone experiencing peri- and post-menopausal symptoms.
In working with children, I’m excited every session to get on the floor and play while talking about relationships, feelings, and struggles. CBT and DBT are my go-to sources for coping skills. I’m committed to being able to explain any skill three ways: with words, by drawing, and then acting it out. I’ve definitely test driven anything I’m asking you to try!
I received a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from St. Mary’sUniversity, San Antonio, and am licensed to practice in Illinois, Wisconsin, andMichigan. When I’m not with clients, I could be at my public library, playing boardgames, or hiking.
